All CS2 Knife Patterns

Is it Important to Know All the Knife Patterns?

It's not super important to know, but when you unbox something rare or find something special that could potentially be sold for a little more, it won't hurt to know.

Case Hardened

Case hardened patterns have a mix of blue, purple, and gold colors. The more blue, the better.

Some players look for specific patterns, like the Blue Gem or Gold Gem. These patterns can be worth a lot, depending on how much blue or gold is showing.

It is important to note that Blue Gems and Gold Gems are priced differently, with Blue Gems being a lot more expensive than Gold Gems.

Fade

On Fade skins in general, players usually look at how much of the pink is visible on the blade, which can increase the price of some knives.

There are also knives that don't get fully covered by the texture and can show grey at the bottom.

Marble Fade Fire and Ice

The most important aspect of a Fire & Ice pattern is that the blade only has 2 colours visible on the playside, with one half being red and the other half being blue.

Any hint of yellow or any deviation from the red and blue split can make the pattern less valuable or even considered fake Fire and Ice.

Only these knives can have Fire and Ice pattern:

  • Karambit

  • Bayonet

  • Flip Knife

  • Gut Knife

Slaughter

Slaughter knives have their unique formations within the pattern, which used to increase the value of skins. But, that was years ago.

Nowadays, no one is really paying more for a certain pattern.

Crimson Web

Crimson Web knives are easily recognized by their red base color with a black web pattern. The rarity and value of these knives can increase with the number and visibility of web patterns, especially those with a high web count. Highest being 3 webs not counting fake webs.

On this M9 Crimson Web, it can be argued that there are 7 webs. However, because they are really small and hard to see, they are called "Fake Webs" and don't increase the value of these skins.

Doppler

Doppler Skins come in phases, and each phase has its own mix of colors. There are 4 common phases.

The value of a Doppler knife can vary a lot. It depends on the phase. Sapphires, Rubies, and Black Pearls are the most expensive.

CS2 Karambit Doppler Rare Phases

Gamma Doppler

The Gamma Doppler skin comes in different phases similarly to the regular Doppler. There are 4 common phases, and a rare phase called Emerald.
